Obama plates

After Obama won the presidential election, I saw commemorative plates pop up at places like CVS and some grocery stores. Now that the honeymoon is over, these plates are now showing up at discount stores. I saw batches of them at Treasure Mart the other day. There were four different styles; Obama, Obama with Hillary Clinton, Obama with Biden, and Obama with McCain.

The Obama by himself plate was not bad, but the pairing plates were absolutely tacky. I did get one of the Obama plates, though. May put it in my office at work to annoy any republicans who may pass through.

Fiesta lemongrass in AL

Our Belk just got Fiesta Lemongrass (top picture far left). Was surprised to see it so soon considering it took them forever to stock chocolate Fiesta. Someone referred to this color as "tennis ball green" which is a very accurate description!

Cake!

Saw this sample cake at the store today. This has to be the most unappetizing cake ever made. Obviously, the decorator was trying to make a hill to fit the 'over the hill' theme, but it looks more like someone wiped his ass with it. YUCK!
